Many Globe subscribers use the Globe MyAccount service to check their bills and access their receipts, among other things. Unfortunately, the Globe MyAccount service will be shut down starting on July 12, 2019.
Upon logging in to their accounts, Globe subscribers are met with this message:
MyAccount will NO longer be available starting July 12, 2019. To continue managing your Globe Postpaid and Prepaid accounts, switch to GlobeOne – your latest digital companion via web or mobile app. To manage your Globe At Home Broadband or Prepaid WIFI Accounts, get the Globe At Home app at the App Store or Google Play!
An email was also sent to Globe subscribers:
Hi! We’d like to let you know that starting July 12, 2019, MyAccount will no longer be available. Thanks for supporting MyAccount over the years.
In the meantime, you can still manage your Globe At Home broadband account, or Home Prepaid WiFi account using the Globe At Home app! Download the app now at hyperurl.co/tnshay. We look forward to seeing you in our new digital channels. Thank you!
Globe MyAccount is an online service portal that allows subscribers to perform account management and make transactions without going to a Globe store. Some transactions that can be done through Globe MyAccount include paying your bills, viewing bills or receipts, checking your outstanding balance, managing reward points, requesting your billing statement and checking your plan details.
Globe customers are advised to download and install the Globe at Home app on Google Play and the App Store. These apps offer roughly the same features and services as the web-based Globe MyAccount.
It’s understandable why Globe would want to do away with Globe MyAccount. With most people already using their smartphones to access the Internet, forcing subscribers to use the Globe at Home app make some sense for the company. Maybe it’s one way to increase the app’s usage which, interestingly, has many negative reviews. Oh well, time to install another app on my phone!
