Globe myBusiness, the small and medium enterprises (SME) arm of Globe Telecom, has launched an online learning website that provides entrepreneurs with resources, educational materials, and insights from industry experts around the country.
The online platform, which is called Globe myBusiness Academy Online (GmBA), offers articles, interviews, and livestreamed or pre-recorded workshops from industry leaders in the fields of tourism, education, manufacturing, retail, food, and many others.
Derrick Heng, Senior Advisor for Globe myBusiness, said that GmBA Online allows Globe myBusiness, business experts, and SME owners to communicate, learn from each other, and create a relationship focused on growth and success.
“Beyond offering solutions for businesses, we want to be a source of expertise and know-how so SMEs can learn [their] trade and [its] best practices. Our conversations have now changed beyond mobile and broadband. We want to be credible partners that can give information so businesses can have an advantage,” Heng says. “With Globe myBusiness Academy, aspiring business owners are empowered. This is important, because to us, your success is our business.”
“Whatever industry you belong to, and whatever stage of your business journey you’re currently in, there’s a lot for you to learn and benefit from in Globe myBusiness Academy. Even if you’re not a business owner yet and are only considering starting a business, the Academy can also be a source of inspiration for business concepts and motivation to get you started,” Heng added.
GmBA online boasts an intuitive and user-friendly interface, where members can access fresh content that can help them grow and improve their businesses. By signing up, members can gain full access to these resources, which come in the form of full-length articles, videos, and downloadable guides.

Additionally, members will receive invitations to seminars, conventions and events organized by Globe myBusiness and its partners.
Globe myBusiness Academy is an initiative created by Globe to help new and existing entrepreneurs gain knowledge and get key business advice from industry experts and successful business leaders. Last year, 53 Globe myBusiness Academy sessions were conducted in Metro Manila and other key cities around the Philippines.
“This all relates back to the purpose of Globe, where we see a Philippines where families’ dreams come true, businesses flourish and a nation admired. We try to uplift these entrepreneurs by creating a community of learning through first-hand experience and valuable insights of industry experts and reputable partners,” Heng said.
