Half-year-old smartphone brand Realme has announced its entry into the Philippines. The fast-growing smartphone brand, which was established only last May, will officially signal its arrival on November 29.
Realme aims to provide the younger generation with smartphone products that combine powerful performance with stylish design. Realme gives the youth an experience that integrates technology and style to recognize and fulfill their desire for personalization and self-expression.
Though only half a year old, Realme has achieved several milestones, such as selling four million smartphones in only three months and being the best-selling smartphone brand in Southeast Asia during the Lazada 11.11 sale. Realme also broke Flipkart’s mobile phone sales record in India, becoming the fastest brand in the country to break the million sales mark.
The budding smartphone brand has already launched four smartphone models and has built a strong and loyal following among young consumers. In fact, one of its smartphones is one of the highest-rated mobile phones on Amazon India’s bestsellers list with a rating of 4.5 out of 5.
Formerly a sub-brand of OPPO, Realme has established a presence in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and soon, the Philippines.
“We have worked hard to prepare the Philippine launching of Realme Philippines, as early as now we will listen and understand the needs of Filipino consumers to provide appealing offers and campaigns,” says Jacky Chen, Chief Operating Officer of Realme Philippines.
“We also aim to further push the growth of e-commerce in the Philippines through our product offerings and create the same effect we did in other South East Asian countries,” Chen added.
Ready for a Global Presence
By successfully understanding the needs of the youth, Realme launches its full visual identity branding to provide new visual experience and emotional with its young customers. The “R” logo in “Realme Yellow” designed by Eddie Opara, partner and chief designer of world-renowned design consultancy firm Pentagram, is an artistic and impactful representation of both the Realme brand identity and its vision of being “Proud to be Young,” which the brand hopes will become a symbol of youth culture around the world. Additionally, the same designer is responsible for innovative logos such as the brand identity changes of Mastercard, Tiffany & Co., Windows 8, and MIT media lab.
Having invited industry-renowned experts to lead the brand identity upgrade, Realme expects to build brand awareness and strengthen emotional recognition among young people around the world, and therefore, create an iconic visual representation of the youth.
