The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has identified 620,000 Social Security System (SSS) members with a ₱10,000 monthly salary credit (MSC) for Group 3 of the UPLIFT Assistance. The agency asked them to update their disbursement accounts from October 20 to 22, 2026, to qualify.
In an announcement shared on its social media channels, DSWD said the members were identified from the SSS database and are also listed in the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
Members were asked to check the My.SSS app for a notification and to update their disbursement account within the three-day window. DSWD added that members may also coordinate with the SSS branch nearest them.

The announcement does not state the amount or release date of the assistance for this batch. The program’s general terms for Group 3, as DSWD has described them in earlier statements, are set out below.
What UPLIFT covers
UPLIFT stands for Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport. DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian said in July that the assistance amount was based on studies by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies on the support vulnerable households need to cope with higher fuel prices.
The program has three groups. Group 1 covers 3.5 million households under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and the Walang Gutom Program. Group 2 covers 2.5 million poor and near-poor households identified through the CBMS. Group 3 covers 1.5 million low-income SSS members, according to figures Gatchalian gave in July.
Group 3 requirements and payouts
DSWD defines Group 3 as employed workers with an MSC below ₱20,000 who made at least one SSS contribution in 2025 or 2026 and have an active SSS disbursement account. Qualified members receive ₱2,000 a month from July to December 2026 through that account.
On July 30, DSWD said 978,290 members with registered disbursement accounts were included in the initial payout, and that it was still identifying qualified members who did not yet have accounts. On August 3, DSWD spokesperson Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao reported that more than 978,000 Group 3 households had received the assistance.
Assistance is granted per household. If two or more qualified SSS members belong to the same household in CBMS records, only the oldest member receives it.
Roles of DSWD and SSS
The SSS supplies the list of qualified members and facilitates the disbursement, while the funds come from the DSWD budget, Dumlao said. DSWD has said beneficiaries do not need to apply, since they were identified in advance. Group 3 beneficiaries also do not need to go to payout venues, as the money goes directly to their enrolled accounts.
SSS Senior Communications Analyst Sherwin Dan Solibaga II earlier encouraged members to keep their email addresses, mobile numbers, and disbursement accounts updated through the My.SSS portal so that notifications and future government assistance reach them without delay.
