Tech Pilipinas was founded by Luis Reginaldo Medilo, a writer, web designer and computer whiz from Bohol, Philippines. Luis has been interested in technology since he was a child, and as he grew up, he pursued his passion in computers and the internet. He realized that technology can be a vehicle in changing the world, so he started Tech Pilipinas to serve as a tool, albeit a small one, in making the world a better place.
To empower and enrich the lives of Filipinos with helpful guides and tutorials in the ever-expanding world of technology.
To be the leading online authority about technology matters in the Philippines, and to inform and educate millions of Filipinos in the process.
Why Trust Tech Pilipinas?
There are dozens of technology websites and blogs in the Philippines. What makes Tech Pilipinas different and why you should trust us?
Expertly Written Guides and Tutorials
When reading an article about computers, would you trust someone who has extensive experience working with computers for more than a decade, or someone who just learned to use the device a month ago? Certainly, the former!
All our authors have decades of experience in the field of technology, especially computers and the Internet. The founder himself, Luis, is a computer expert with more than 20 years of experience in and knowledge of the Internet, having his first encounter with cyberspace in 1999.
All our articles are written in-house and by hand. We don’t and will never outsource content to amateur writers or even students. All our content are written by humans and we will never use AI.
First-Hand and Experience-Based Content
We hate it when other websites talk about topics that they have never tried and tested personally! For example, they would talk about how to transfer money from Wise to GCash but they don’t even have a Wise account. We find it disingenuous and dishonest – yet many websites do it.
Here at Tech Pilipinas, we only write about a certain topic if we have first-hand experience with it. We personally use and test a product or website, and then write extensively about it, complete with step-by-step instructions and original screenshots.
Regularly Updated for Timeliness and Relevance
Technology changes at a rapid pace. What’s cutting edge today may be old news tomorrow.
That is why we go through all the effort to update our articles on a regular basis. We work hard to ensure that the information we share with our readers are current, up-to-date and relevant to them. If we have to rewrite an entire step-by-step tutorial and replace the screenshots, we will gladly do it – just to ensure that our readers are kept abreast of the latest updates.
Millions of Loyal Readers
Since 2017, more than 20 million readers from all over the world have visited Tech Pilipinas and learned something new. Based on our statistics, nearly 20% (1 out of 5) of our readers are repeat or return visitors – undeniable proof that our helpful content is loved and trusted by many.
More than 80% of our readers come from search engines such as Google and Bing.

About Our Logo
Our logo was designed by a talented graphic designer who I’ve known through the DigitalPoint Forum. He was able to produce this amazing concept in his first attempt, and we were instantly captivated by it. We like how the two letters “T” and “P” combine to form a symbol that represents our brand beautifully. The red and black colors meld with the website’s theme perfectly, symbolizing the strength, power and passion that we have for technology.
