Globe Telecom has launched Globe Cloud, a branded cloud storage service aimed at helping Filipino customers back up photos, videos, and files without paying for a foreign subscription plan. The company introduced the service at the second edition of The Blueprint by Globe on June 3, 2026.
Globe Cloud enters a market where local subscribers currently rely mostly on foreign storage providers such as Dropbox. Google One, for comparison, charges ₱119 a month for 100GB of storage in the Philippines. Globe Cloud’s closest equivalent, its 200GB Standard plan, costs ₱169 for 30 days, while its entry-level 50GB Basic plan runs ₱39 for the same period. Globe is also offering an introductory rate of ₱5 a month for the first three months, and unlike some competing services, sign-up does not require a credit card.
Globe Cloud’s four subscription tiers are:
- Basic: 50GB for ₱39/30 days
- Standard: 200GB for ₱169/30 days
- Premium: 1TB for ₱379/30 days
- Premium+: 2TB for ₱499/30 days
Beyond storage, the service includes Flashbacks and Highlights, which resurface older photos and videos, and AI-powered editing tools that can enhance old photos or convert images into stylized 3D, cartoon, and anime versions. A Private Folder, secured by PIN or biometrics, is built in for sensitive content.

Globe Cloud subscription packs will be available through the GlobeOne app starting this month. For now, the service can be accessed through the dedicated Globe Cloud Android app on the Google Play Store or through a web browser; Globe has not announced an iOS release date.
