If you’re a Smart prepaid subscriber, you might be interested to know how to check your Smart load balance. Checking your Smart balance helps you verify that you have enough prepaid load credits to make a call, send a text message, or subscribe to a promo.

It’s also useful if you want to check the status of your promo and to confirm that your subscription is still valid. If you’re subscribed to an Internet data promo, you can also check your balance to see how much data you have remaining.

There are several ways to check your Smart load balance, so just choose one that you feel the most comfortable with. You can dial a number, send an SMS or use the SIM menu. In this article, we’ll teach you how to check your Smart balance the easiest and most convenient way possible.

The following methods for checking your Smart balance are personally tested by the author to confirm that they are still working. This is because the Smart website as well as other blog articles still contain outdated information on methods that no longer work. For example, dialing *214# doesn’t work anymore as the USSD code is no longer active.

We’ve also included screenshots to make things easier for you to follow, as well as to prove that these methods are still working. Most of the following methods are for Smart prepaid subscribers only, but we have also included some ways to check your balance for Smart Bro and Smart postpaid subscribers.

Dial *123#

Dialing *123# is the easiest way to check your Smart balance. After dialing the USSD code, you will immediately be shown your prepaid load balance.

Check Smart balance via *123#

If you want a complete breakdown of your Smart balance, just choose Balance/Services and then Check Balance (you can do this by typing the corresponding number such as “4” and pressing SEND).

You will then be shown your load balance and load expiration date, as well as the status and expiration dates of your promo inclusions (texts, calls or Internet data) if you’re currently subscribed to a promo.

Check Smart balance via *123#

You will also receive a text message containing a complete summary of your Smart balance.

Smart balance inquiries via *123# are free of cost, and you can check your balance even if you have zero balance.

Text BAL to 214

Another proven and tested way to check your Smart balance is to text BAL to 214.

You will immediately receive a text message from Smart with a complete breakdown of your Smart load balance and promo inclusions, if any. This is great way to know how many MBs you have remaining in your data allocation.

Text BAL to 214

The service is totally free so you can inquire about your Smart balance even if you have no prepaid load.

Call 1515

This method is not so widely used because it costs ₱1 per inquiry. One peso isn’t much but it could add up if you do it often. So if for some reason, other methods are not working, you can simply call 1515 and you will immediately receive a text message with information about your current load balance. This is not a hotline number so you don’t have to speak to anyone.

Call 1515

Open the Smart Menu

The SIM toolkit or Smart Menu is there for a reason. It serves as your quick and easy access to Smart prepaid services. If you forgot the Smart USSD codes and hotline numbers then you can just open the Smart Menu to check your prepaid load balance, subscribe to promos, contact customer support, and more.

To check your load balance using the Smart Menu, first tap My Account. You will be shown several options. Choose Balance/Services by typing the corresponding number (in this case, “4”) and pressing SEND. Next, choose Check Balance and your Smart balance will be shown on the screen. You will also receive a text message with a summary of your load balance and promo inclusions, if any.

Smart Menu

Just like *123#, this service is free so you don’t have to worry about losing your precious load.

Call *888

*888 is the toll-free hotline number for Smart prepaid subscribers. You can call *888 if you have any questions or concerns regarding the company or their services. It’s free to call from your Smart mobile number.

You can also call *888 to inquire about your Smart balance. Just follow the voice prompts and an automated voice message will tell you your current load balance.

Unfortunately, it only tells your remaining load balance and not other relevant information such as load expiry, promo inclusions (remaining call, text or data allocations), and promo expiry. You can try the other methods instead to check the status of your promo.

Log in to My Smart

It’s easy to check your Smart load balance through your My Smart account. Just log in to My Smart using your mobile number or email address and password, and your current balance will be shown. My Smart not only allows you to view your load balance and data usage, but also to pay your bills, subscribe to promos or packages, buy load, and many more.

Smart balance inquiry through My Smart

You can add or enroll as many Smart numbers as you want in My Smart. It’s an excellent way to manage multiple Smart accounts even if you don’t currently have access to them. For instance, you can check your girlfriend’s balance even if she’s far away from you, or inquire about your Smart Bro balance without turning on the device.

Use the My Smart Mobile App

My Smart also has a mobile app where you can instantly check your Smart balance with just a tap of the finger. It’s more convenient than the website version because once logged in, you can simply launch the app to instantly know your Smart load balance. You don’t need to re-enter your login info or call some numbers to check your balance.

You can download the My Smart app from Google Play and the App Store.

The app’s main disadvantage is that you need to be connected to the Internet to use it. Still it’s an easy way to check your load balance without calling a number or sending a text message.

How to Check Your Smart Bro Balance

Smart Bro subscribers can check their balances by texting BRO BAL to 214. You may have to log in to your Smart Bro device’s dashboard to send a text message.

You can also open the Smart Bro dashboard to view your balance. First, connect to your Smart Bro device using your smartphone or computer, and once connected, go to http://smart.com.ph/brodashboard. On the Smart Bro dashboard page, just click the “Click here” link next to “Want to know your balance?”

Smart Bro dashboard

For Smart Bro Prepaid LTE Home WiFi users, you may log in to smartbrosettings.net and click Usage Monitoring.

You may also inquire about your Smart Bro balance on the My Smart website or the My Smart app.

How to Check Your Smart Postpaid Balance

If you’re a Smart postpaid subscriber, you may check your postpaid balance or bill by texting BILL to 211.

The myPLDT Smart app also allows you to check your postpaid balance, view previous billing statements, and know your payment due dates.

Smart postpaid balance inquiry

Just like prepaid subscribers, Smart postpaid subscribers can log in to their My Smart accounts to quickly and conveniently view their postpaid bill or balance.

That’s it, you have learned how to check your Smart balance without breaking a sweat. Be sure to memorize or remember these techniques to use them the next time you want to check your load balance. You can even save these numbers (like *123# or 214) in your contacts or phonebook for easy and convenient access.

If you have any questions or concerns about your Smart account, call the Smart hotline numbers *888 or (02) 888-1111.
