The Nokia 2360 Flip clamshell phone is now available in the Philippines for ₱2,790, offering Filipino families a feature phone with a built-in emergency button and remote management tools.
The phone is sold through Nokia’s official Shopee store. HMD, which runs the Nokia-branded phone business, is positioning the device for seniors, students and family members who need a simple way to stay in touch.
The launch comes as more consumers look for phones that do less than a smartphone, with a focus on calls, texts and battery life. HMD has already brought back several older Nokia formats, including candybar phones and rugged handsets. The 2360 Flip is its latest clamshell.
Remote help and an emergency button
The main selling point is a feature called Family Assist. It allows a relative to add contacts, adjust the volume, set reminders and change selected settings on the phone from a distance. A user who struggles with menus can therefore have the phone set up for them without handing it over.
A separate SOS button on the back of the phone calls a preset emergency contact and sends an alert to up to five people. HMD presents the feature as suited to elderly users and children.
Hardware
The 2360 Flip has a physical keypad, a 2.8-inch main display and a 1.77-inch external screen that shows caller ID and quick notifications. It comes in Dark Grey, Burgundy and Teal.
The phone runs on a removable 1,450mAh battery and charges through USB-C. It also has an FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot. HMD describes the design around a simple routine: flip open to answer a call, close the phone to hang up.
The 2G limitation
The phone supports only 2G GSM. It has no 3G or 4G, so it cannot use mobile data for apps or browsing in the way a smartphone can. The limit also affects its use as a main phone in places where 2G coverage and network support are shrinking.
The report does not say which Philippine carriers’ 2G networks the phone supports. Buyers who plan to use it as their only phone should confirm coverage and compatibility with their carrier before ordering.
The Nokia 2360 Flip is available now on Nokia’s official Shopee store at ₱2,790.
