Lost or forgot your PhilHealth number? Don’t worry because it’s entirely possible to retrieve your PhilHealth number online. We’ll teach you how to perform a PhilHealth number online inquiry in case you’ve lost or forgotten it.

The PhilHealth number is a unique 12-digit number issued to all members of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth). This number is required for all transactions with PhilHealth, such as paying your contributions and claiming benefits.

You’ll also need your PhilHealth number to login to your online account, where you can view your membership information and check your premium contributions, among other things. That’s why you should keep a copy of your Philhealth number somewhere for easy reference and retrieval.

If you already have a PhilHealth ID, all you have to do is to check it since your PhilHealth number is printed on the card. Not every member has a Philhealth ID, so if you don’t have one, you can get your own ID at the PhilHealth branch nearest you. It’s not considered as a valid ID by some institutions, but it can be used in all your transactions with PhilHealth.

In case you’ve lost or forgotten your PhilHealth number (and you don’t have a PhilHealth ID), there are several ways to retrieve your PhilHealth number online using your mobile phone or computer. At the moment, the PhilHealth website doesn’t have the option to recover your PhilHealth number, so you will have do it manually.

Send an Email to PhilHealth

One way to know your PhilHealth number is to email PhilHealth at [email protected].

Here’s a template that you can use to send an email to PhilHealth:

Dear PhilHealth,

Good day! I would like to request for my PhilHealth number because I have lost my copy of it. Here’s my personal information:

Name: Juan dela Cruz
Date of Birth: January 1, 1990
Address: Maria Clara Street, Tondo, Manila

I have attached a photo of my valid ID for verification and identification purposes. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Juan dela Cruz

Change the personal information with your own. Attach a scanned copy or photo of your valid ID and then send the email to [email protected].

Wait for PhilHealth to respond to your email, which usually takes 2-3 business days. PhilHealth may ask for additional information before giving you your PhilHealth number.

Call PhilHealth

PhilHealth number online inquiry

You can call PhilHealth to inquire about your PhilHealth number. The number to call is (02) 8441-7442. The PhilHealth call center is available from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

If you are calling PhilHealth from a Smart or Globe mobile number, dial 2-8441-7442. If you are calling from a landline number outside Metro Manila, dial 02-8441-7442. Metro Manila callers can simply dial 8441-7442.

Take note that airtime charges may apply if you’re calling from a mobile number, so make sure that you have enough load balance. There may also be domestic long-distance charges when calling PhilHealth from a landline number outside Metro Manila.

When calling PhilHealth, make sure that you have your personal information (e.g. full name, date of birth, mother’s maiden name and SSS number) ready, as the call center agent will ask them to verify your identity. Prepare a ballpen and a piece of paper in which to write your PhilHealth number.

The PhilHealth call center also has a callback channel where you can send them a text message and they will be the one to call you. Just text PHIC callback <Mobile number or Metro Manila landline number. <Details of your concern> to 09216300009. For example: PHIC callback 09123456789 I would like to know my PhilHealth number.

Text PhilHealth

Another way to retrieve your PhilHealth number is to text the PhilHealth SMS hotline 09178987442 (0917-TXT-PHIC).

There’s no text format to follow, so just type your message. For example: “I would like to know my PhilHealth number. My name is Juan dela Cruz and my date of birth is January 1, 1990.”

Send a Message on Facebook or Twitter

PhilHealth entertains inquiries on their social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter. To make a PhilHealth number online inquiry on Facebook, visit the official PhilHealth Facebook page @PhilHealthofficial. Tap or click the “Message” button and enter your message. For example, “I would like to request for my PhilHealth number.”

You can also tweet or send a direct message to PhilHealth on their Twitter account @teamphilhealth.

Visit the PhilHealth Office

If all else fails, you can simply drop by the nearest PhilHealth office and ask for your PhilHealth number. Approach the Public Assistance Desk and tell the staff that you want to inquire about your PhilHealth number. Get your queue number and wait for your number to be called. When it’s your turn, give your valid ID to the staff who will look up your PhilHealth number in their database.

Conclusion

The PhilHealth number is an important piece of information that you should keep in a safe location. Once you have recovered your PhilHealth number, be sure to save it somewhere secure but accessible, such as the note-taking application on your smartphone.

If you don’t have a PhilHealth online account yet, you can sign up for free at the PhilHealth member portal website. You can then login to your account to view your membership information, print your MDR, check your contributions, and pay your monthly contributions online.

Thank you for these valuable pieces of info!
I tried the SMS method and I got a call, on the same day, from a Philhealth agent.

I just had to answer several questions like bday, DOB etc for them to verify my identity.
