Qualified members of the Social Security System (SSS) under Group 3 of the government’s UPLIFT Assistance program receive ₱2,000 a month from July to December 2026, for up to ₱12,000 in total, according to an SSS advisory. Members do not need to apply.
The SSS said the money is deposited directly into the member’s SSS-enrolled disbursement account. Reports on the program say this can be a bank account, an e-wallet or another payment channel the member registered with the SSS. Notices for eligible members appear in the My.SSS inbox.
The agency also said not all SSS members are automatically qualified. Beneficiaries are chosen based on eligibility requirements and the results of data cross-matching among the SSS, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

UPLIFT stands for Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport. It was set up under Executive Order 110 as part of the government’s response to a national energy emergency amid a global fuel price surge. The expanded UPLIFT Assistance, directed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., covers about 7.5 million households in three groups.
Group 1 has 3.5 million households under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and the Walang Gutom Program, which receive a one-time ₱2,000. Group 2 covers 2.5 million poor and near-poor households identified through the PSA’s Community-Based Monitoring System. Group 3 covers about 1.5 million low-income SSS members. Groups 2 and 3 each receive ₱2,000 a month for six months.
DSWD spokesperson Irene Dumlao said Group 3 consists of employed members with a monthly salary credit of ₱20,000 or below, at least one SSS contribution in 2025 or 2026, and an SSS disbursement account. Eric Coronado, acting head of the SSS Visayas Central 1 Division, said pensioners are not covered. Unlike Groups 1 and 2, Group 3 beneficiaries do not need to go to payout venues.
Dumlao said more than 978,000 Group 3 households had received their ₱2,000 as of the DSWD’s latest report. A DSWD official said earlier that beneficiaries whose first payout was processed in August still receive the amount allocated for July.
Dumlao said the assistance is funded by the national government through the DSWD budget. It is not deducted from members’ SSS contributions.
Members who believe they qualify but have not received payment can contact the SSS through its hotline at 1455 or visit an SSS branch. Payouts run through December 2026.
