Apple has rebuilt Siri from scratch! At WWDC26 on June 8, the company showed off Siri AI – a version that reads your screen, searches across your apps, and holds actual back-and-forth conversations. It’s coming as a free software update this fall.
Filipino iPhone users on Globe, Smart, or DITO with an iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, 16, or any newer model will be in the first wave when iOS 27 arrives. iPhone 14 and below don’t make the cut because Siri AI needs at least an A17 Pro chip. Apple Intelligence already lists English as the launch language for Siri AI, with more languages coming later, so Filipino-language support isn’t confirmed for day one.
Siri AI is deeply integrated into iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro. It can search across messages, emails, and photos using your personal context, handle system-wide tasks across apps, and answer questions about whatever is currently on your screen. A standalone Siri app stores your conversation history and keeps it synced across devices through iCloud.
Beyond Siri, the next generation of Apple Intelligence powers new features throughout the system: Spatial Reframing to fix photo composition after the fact, smarter multi-tab browsing in Safari, a photorealistic mode in Image Playground, and one-tap suggestions in Messages and Mail. Speed improvements are across the board too: apps launch up to 30 percent faster, photos load up to 70 percent faster after being taken, and AirDrop transfers are up to 80 percent faster than iOS 26.
Craig Federighi, Apple’s SVP of Software Engineering, said at the keynote: “We’re delivering the next generation of Apple Intelligence across our platforms; introducing Siri AI, a profoundly more intelligent, knowledgeable, and capable Siri; expanding child safety features with intuitive new tools for families; and making our software platforms faster, more reliable, and more delightful than ever before.”
Siri AI launches as a beta this year for devices set to English. Apple says it will expand language support quickly after that. No date or language list beyond English has been announced, so Filipino Siri AI users will likely have to wait a bit longer.
Developer testing starts today through the Apple Developer Program at developer.apple.com, with a public beta opening next month at beta.apple.com. The full release is a free update this fall with iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27.
