The Social Security System (SSS) has an online portal where members can access their records and transact with the agency solely through the Internet. There are instances, however, where you have no other option but to go to the SSS office. But before you pay a visit, you should first schedule an online appointment with the SSS.
The SSS has implemented an online appointment system wherein members have to set an appointment with their chosen SSS branch before they will be allowed inside the premises and their concerns attended to by the staff. The online appointment system helps reduce congestion at SSS branches and ensures that transactions are conducted in an orderly and systematic manner.
Many SSS branches are no longer accepting walk-ins so make sure that you have already scheduled your appointment before heading there. Appointments are set through the My.SSS portal using your computer or mobile phone, and these normally take a minute or two.
In this article, I’ll teach you how to schedule an appointment with the SSS with your preferred date and time. At the moment, you can only set appointments through the My.SSS portal; the SSS mobile app doesn’t have the option to schedule an appointment yet.
Important update: According to my sister who works at the SSS, an online appointment is no longer required in order to visit the SSS office. Members can visit the SSS branch even without an online appointment, but priority will be given those who already have a scheduled appointment.
How to Set an Appointment with the SSS
Follow this step-by-step guide to schedule an appointment with the SSS:
Step 1: Login to My.SSS
To start, open your web or mobile browser (such as Google Chrome) and login to your My.SSS account at https://member.sss.gov.ph. If you don’t have a My.SSS account yet, you may read this article to learn how to register and activate your account.
If you forgot your login details, read this article to learn how to recover your SSS password or user ID.
Dismiss the “Member Survey Consent” popup and the mail notification popup, if any.
