Qualified members of the Social Security System (SSS) can expect to receive ₱2,000 in cash aid this week under the government’s expanded Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food and Transport (UPLIFT) program, according to an SSS official cited by the Philippine News Agency.

“Our target date for releasing is before the end of July. So we are expecting that this week we will start the release,” said Amiel Genova, SSS Visayas West 2 Division Senior Communications Analyst.

For Filipino workers enrolled with the SSS, the payout offers a direct cash boost tied to contribution and income records already on file with the agency. The program is designed for low-income employed members and is expected to benefit 1.5 million members nationwide, making it one of the larger government cash-assistance rollouts of the year.

To qualify, a member’s monthly salary credit must not exceed ₱20,000. They must also have paid at least one premium contribution in either 2025 or 2026, and must be listed in the Philippine Statistics Authority’s 2024 community-based monitoring system (CBMS). In addition, members need to have enrolled a disbursement account through their SSS portal on or before April 30, 2026.

“If they failed to meet either one of the four qualifications, then they could not receive the UPLIFT assistance,” Genova said.

Genova added that the assistance is limited to members in the employed sector, meaning self-employed, voluntary, and non-working spouse members do not qualify under this round of UPLIFT disbursements.

Members who qualify will receive a notification through their online SSS account or the email address registered with the agency. The cash aid will be credited directly to each member’s enrolled savings account, and the program is set to run until December 2026.

The SSS has not released a full disbursement schedule by region or a specific date within the week, and members are advised to check their SSS online accounts regularly for updates.
