The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has launched eTrabaho, an artificial intelligence-powered job-matching and resume-building feature on the eGovPH Super App, allowing Filipinos to search and apply for jobs without leaving their homes.
DICT E-Government Undersecretary David Almirol Jr. said the feature functions as an online job fair, giving jobseekers a single platform to build a resume and connect with employers through the app already used by 61 million Filipinos.
Almirol described the resume-building process during a Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon interview aired on PTV on Wednesday.
“Pagka-click mo doon, puwede ka nang mag-build ng résumé mo, AI-powered iyon. Hindi mo kailangan mag-manual, piktyuran mo lang iyong lumang résumé mo, i-upload mo iyong lumang résumé mo, bahala na iyong AI ang mag-arrange ng napakagandang CV mo, résumé mo,” Almirol said.
The statement translates to: once clicked, users can build an AI-powered resume by uploading a photo of an old resume, which the system then arranges into a complete curriculum vitae.
The feature includes a job-matching engine that pairs jobseekers with companies based on their submitted profiles. DICT plans to expand eTrabaho through partnerships with the Department of Labor and Employment, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, the Professional Regulation Commission, and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
Almirol also disclosed an upcoming eFolder feature under development with CHED, which will let users attach digital copies of diplomas, transcripts of records, and other credentials directly to their digital resumes. He did not provide a launch date.
eTrabaho is accessible through the eGovPH Super App, available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The app already offers Land Transportation Office transactions, medical and financial assistance requests through e-MAIFIP, an AI assistant called eGov AI, and an eReport platform for filing complaints with government agencies.
Additional eGovPH integrations planned
Almirol said the Bureau of Internal Revenue will integrate its services into eGovPH, calling it a feature that has been two years in development. He declined to provide further details ahead of its official launch.
The Social Security System is set to join the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, the Pag-IBIG Fund, and the Government Service Insurance System, which are already integrated into the app and allow users to view contributions, benefits, and loans in one place.
Passport renewal and Philippine National Police clearance processing are also in development, which would let Filipinos complete both transactions from home. A planned 911 integration with the Department of the Interior and Local Government would allow users to report emergencies through the app, with caller identification intended to prevent prank calls.
For overseas Filipino workers, a One-Stop Shop feature being developed with the Department of Migrant Workers and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) would provide access to SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and OWWA contribution services from abroad.
DICT also plans to add three more eGov Serbisyo Centers to its existing branches in San Juan and Cebu, intended for Filipinos who are not yet comfortable with digital transactions.
DICT has not announced specific rollout dates for the BIR integration, passport and police clearance processing, 911 integration, or the OFW One-Stop Shop feature.
