The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) announced that qualified Social Security System (SSS) members under Group 3 of the UPLIFT assistance program will receive their second tranche by October 16, 2026.
The agency posted the schedule on its official Facebook page. Members who have already received the first tranche will have the second tranche credited by October 16.
Members who received an advisory and updated or activated their SSS disbursement account on or before October 5, 2026 will have both the first and second tranches credited by the same date. The announcement does not state the amount per tranche, and it does not address members who did not update their accounts by October 5.

UPLIFT stands for Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food and Transport. DSWD expanded the program to give financial aid to Filipinos affected by rising fuel prices linked to the Middle East conflict. Group 3 covers employed SSS members with a monthly salary credit of ₱20,000 or below who have made at least one contribution in 2025 or 2026, according to Eric Coronado, acting head of the SSS Visayas Central 1 Division.
Group 3 beneficiaries receive their assistance through their enrolled SSS disbursement accounts and do not need to report to payout venues. Because the program is targeted, beneficiaries have already been identified and no application or office visit is required. Group 3 members are notified by email.
DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian said on July 17 that Group 3 members would receive ₱2,000 per month for six months, from July to December 2026, with about 1.5 million low-income workers targeted.
On July 30, DSWD said 978,290 beneficiaries, whose SSS records were matched with the Philippine Statistics Authority’s Community-Based Monitoring System, were on the initial list sent to the Land Bank of the Philippines for processing. The agency said it was still identifying other qualified members without disbursement accounts to reach the full 1.5 million target. By August 3, DSWD reported that more than 978,000 Group 3 households had received the assistance.
Across all three beneficiary groups, UPLIFT is expected to reach 7.5 million households nationwide, jointly managed by DSWD and SSS. Group 1 covers Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program and Walang Gutom Program members, and Group 2 covers near-poor households identified through the Community-Based Monitoring System.
The announcement sets October 16, 2026 as the crediting date for both categories of Group 3 members. DSWD directs beneficiaries to its official channels for updates.
