The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in partnership with GCash, is crediting the third and fourth tranches of Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) cash aid to eligible Group 2 beneficiaries who have digital accounts, starting November 6, 2026.
Group 2 beneficiaries who chose GCash will receive ₱4,000 in cash aid through their registered e-wallets or bank accounts. The group consists of poor and near-poor households identified through the Philippine Statistics Authority’s (PSA) Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS).
DSWD spokesperson Asst. Secretary Irene Dumlao announced the schedule on Friday, November 6.
As of November 4, more than 1.7 million households under Group 2 had received the first two tranches of UPLIFT subsidies, according to the DSWD.
GCash said that the digital route saves beneficiaries money and time. Chai Alano, GCash Vice President and Head of Integrated Ecosystem Partnerships, spoke about the benefits of receiving aid through the app.
Beneficiaries who have no GCash account, e-wallet or registered bank account will still receive their aid through manual payouts from November 2 to 30. Dumlao explained who falls under this arrangement.
She asked beneficiaries to wait for the official announcement on the DSWD Facebook page, which will carry the payout schedule and the venue for manual distribution.
The digital payout comes as the government works to cushion the impact of the energy emergency on vulnerable families nationwide. Under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., UPLIFT provides cash assistance to low-income Filipino families affected by inflation and rising fuel costs.
The DSWD also warned the public against fake news and scammers exploiting the program. It urged those with questions to get information only from the department’s official social media accounts and website.
Group 2 beneficiaries without digital accounts can expect manual payouts to continue through November 30, with schedules and venues to be posted on the DSWD Facebook page.
