The Pag-IBIG Fund has confirmed that members residing or working in areas placed under a State of Calamity may apply for financial assistance through its Calamity Loan and Housing Loan Insurance Claim programs, intended to provide funds for immediate needs and for the repair of damaged homes.
In a Facebook post on August 17, the Pag-IBIG Fund said that eligible members must reside or work in a locality with an active State of Calamity declaration. Coverage is verified through the “Select Area” drop-down menu on the Loan Application Details page of the Virtual Pag-IBIG portal, where members can check whether their city, municipality, or province is included among the areas with an existing resolution.
According to publicly available Pag-IBIG guidelines, the Calamity Loan allows qualified members to borrow up to 90 percent of their Total Accumulated Value at a reduced interest rate of 5.95 percent per annum, payable over 24 months with a three-month grace period before the first amortization is due.
To qualify, a member must generally have at least 24 posted monthly membership savings, with at least one contribution made within the last six months, and must have no defaulted Pag-IBIG loan account.
Applicants are required to submit four documents: a completed Calamity Loan Application Form, a valid identification card, proof of income or an income certification signed by the employer, and the Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus.

Applications may be filed through the Virtual Pag-IBIG website, the Virtual Pag-IBIG mobile application, a Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels unit deployed in the affected area, or any Pag-IBIG Fund branch.
Pag-IBIG Fund typically opens a 90-day filing window from the date a State of Calamity is declared by the Office of the President or the concerned local government unit. Members are advised to file within this period, as the window does not remain open indefinitely.
