The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has unveiled its new online appointment system on April 26, 2018. The Online Personal Appointment and Scheduling System (PASS) allows drivers to apply for licenses and renew their vehicle registrations through the Internet.
The system will hopefully reduce long queues in LTO offices all over the country.
Four LTO offices – Pasig, Marikina, Novaliches, and Muntinlupa extension – have been designated as pilot sites that will accept online appointments and scheduling. The online appointment system can be accessed at the PASS website starting April 23, 2018.
“With the LTO Online PASS, LTO clients can select their preferred LTO site, date and time slot for driver’s license or motor vehicle renewal. The LTO has assigned dedicated lanes that will process appointments and evaluate applications, allowing for more efficient handling of transactions in their offices,” the LTO announced in a press release.
Applications from walk-in applicants will still have to undergo regular processing.
“This is a big step towards enhancing our services by utilizing this online platform to bring more convenience to the public in line with President Duterte’s directive to bring more convenience to the public,” LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante said.
The agency introduced the LTO Kiosk last January, an interactive self-service kiosk that allows clients to view transactions, requirements, and other LTO-related matters. Clients can also learn about the latest news and projects using the kiosk.
The LTO recently added the Motor Vehicle (MV) Renewal feature to the kiosk. The feature allows you to have your vehicle assessed and evaluated without going to LTO Evaluator windows. Applicants should submit complete MV Renewal requirements such as the official receipt/certificate of registration (OR/CR), emission test, third party liability insurance, and motor vehicle inspection report.
The LTO Kiosk was piloted at the Diliman district office last April 24 and will soon be introduced to other LTO sites nationwide within this year.
