Complete List of PhilSys Registration Centers for National ID Applications (2026 Updated Guide)

Do you want to apply for a Philippine National ID, or perhaps update your PhilSys registration details? Online applications are no longer available, so you’ll need to visit a PhilSys registration center to register and apply for a National ID. Luckily for you, I’ve compiled a list of PhilSys National ID registration centers for you to drop by.

PhilSys registration centers are the official sites where Filipinos and resident aliens can enroll in the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) and apply for the National ID. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) currently lists 126 centers: 32 in the National Capital Region, 43 in Luzon, 20 in the Visayas and 31 in Mindanao.

Most centers outside the capital are PSA-based offices in provincial capitals – usually on the ground floor of a commercial building. The list also includes mall booths, local government offices, and co-location sites inside agencies such as the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and PhilHealth.

This guide lists all the 126 registration centers by area/location and indicates the documents that you should bring for your application.

    How PhilSys Registration Works

Registration is a two-step process: you present supporting documents, and the PhilSys registration center then validates your demographic data and captures your biometrics.

Registration is open to all Filipinos aged 1 and above, as well as resident aliens. Here’s how the PhilSys registration works:

    1. Pick a center from the lists below and check its schedule.
    2. Bring one primary supporting document. If you have none, bring secondary documents (see the next section).
    3. Submit your documents so that the registration center can validate your demographic data.
    4. Have your fingerprints, iris scan and front-facing photograph captured.
    5. Keep the transaction slip you receive. It carries your transaction reference number (TRN).
    6. Use the TRN to track delivery of your physical card through the Philippine Postal Corporation’s tracking website.

For children ages 1 to 4, the registration center collects only demographic information and a front-facing photograph. Full biometrics are captured at age 5 and again at age 15.

If your physical card is delayed, you can ask for the ePhilID at any registration center. A PSA advisory on May 14, 2024 states that the ePhilID is accepted for transactions that require proof of identity and age.

Read this article to learn how to register for your Philippine National ID.

Documents to Bring When Registering for the National ID

Bring one primary document to avoid delays. The PSA accepts any of the following:

    • PSA Certificate of Live Birth together with a government-issued ID that has a photo, your name and a signature or thumbmark
    • Philippine passport or ePassport issued by the DFA
    • UMID card (GSIS or SSS)
    • Driver’s license or student’s permit issued by the LTO

If you have none of the above, the PSA also accepts secondary documents. These include PSA or NSO birth records, professional IDs from the PRC, IBP or MARINA, and government IDs such as SSS, PhilHealth, voter’s ID and postal ID.

Special IDs are also accepted, including PWD, senior citizen, solo parent, OWWA and SRRV cards. Other acceptable documents are NBI or police clearances, employment or school IDs that show a photo, signature, name, address and date of birth, and barangay or municipal IDs and clearances.

    NCR Registration Centers

NCR has 32 registration centers, the widest variety of any area. It has 9 mall-based centers, 8 LGU-based or LGU-fixed centers and 10 co-location sites, alongside 5 PSA-based offices. Seventeen NCR centers are open on Saturdays, but San Juan and Pateros run only Monday to Thursday, and Valenzuela skips Friday and opens on Saturday instead.

My recommendation for most Metro Manila residents is a mall-based or co-location site with extended hours. The MRT Edsa Taft Station center in Pasay opens at 6:00 in the morning and closes at 10:00 at night, Monday to Saturday, which is the longest daily window in NCR.

    Luzon Registration Centers

Luzon has 43 registration centers outside NCR, and 39 of them are PSA-based. Most are open Monday to Friday from 8:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon, and 16 also open on Saturdays. Bataan, Tarlac and Romblon operate Monday to Thursday only, so avoid planning a Friday trip to those provinces.

The table below covers the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and the Bicol Region. Use the search box to filter by province or city, or sort by days and hours.

    Visayas Registration Centers

The Visayas has 20 registration centers. The Cebu Exchange Tower center in Cebu City is the only center on the entire list that opens seven days a week, from 6:00 in the morning to 11:00 at night. If you live in Metro Cebu and cannot take a weekday off, this is the center to choose.

Two other Cebu centers, Gaisano Capital South in Cebu City and the eGovPH Serbisyo Hub in Mandaue, are appointment-based. Do not walk in without a booking.

    Common Problems and Issues

If the center is closed when you arrive, check the day first. Several PhilSys registration centers close on Fridays or weekends, and the schedule could change without prior notice. Message the PSA through its official Facebook page or call the hotline at 1388 before going there.

If the registration officer rejects your documents, switch to a primary document if possible. A passport, UMID or driver’s license prevents most rejections. When the information in your documents disagree with one another, present your PSA birth certificate as it’s the prevailing document.

If your National ID has not arrived yet, you can track its delivery status by entering your TRN on the PHLPost tracking website. You can also email your concern to [email protected]. Don’t forget to include your TRN, complete name, and the PhilSys registration center where you registered.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How many PhilSys registration centers are there in the Philippines?

The PSA’s list, dated August 7, 2026, shows 126 registration centers: 32 in NCR, 43 in Luzon, 20 in the Visayas and 31 in Mindanao. The count can change as the PSA opens, moves or closes centers, so check the official page before you go.

Do I need an appointment to register for the National ID?

Most centers don’t require an appointment. Only two Cebu centers, Gaisano Capital South in Cebu City and the eGovPH Serbisyo Hub in Mandaue, are marked as appointment-based. The PSA doesn’t say whether walk-ins are accepted at every center, so confirm with the center before going there.

    Is National ID registration free?

Registration for the first National ID has been free since the program began, and the PSA says it intends to keep its government services free. The PSA also states that replacing an ID with a peeled-off photo is free. If a registration center asks for payment for a first-time registration, ask for an official explanation and report it to the PSA through the 1388 hotline.

Can children register for the National ID?

Yes. Registration is open to all Filipinos aged 1 and above. Children aged 1 to 4 provide demographic information and a front-facing photograph only, and full biometrics are captured at age 5 and again at age 15.

How do I track my National ID after registration?

Use the transaction reference number on your transaction slip, and enter it at the PHLPost tracking website to see where your card is. If tracking doesn’t work, contact the PSA through [email protected] or call 1388.

    Final Thoughts

The hardest part of getting a National ID is rarely the registration itself. It’s usually the wasted trip: arriving at a center that closes on Fridays, handing over a document the officer will not accept, or finding out that you needed an appointment.

A little planning avoids all three. Start with your schedule. Choose a mall-based center for evenings and Saturdays and a PSA-based office for a regular weekday visit. Then bring one primary document, ideally your PSA birth certificate together with a valid photo ID, and keep your transaction slip safe after you leave. Your TRN is the only way to track the card and follow up if it’s delayed.

If you have any questions and concerns, email [email protected] or call hotline 1388.
