SSS LoanLite digital loans coming soon to RCBC DiskarTech

RCBC DiskarTech has notified registered users via email that SSS LoanLite, a fully digital short-term loan for qualified Social Security System (SSS) members, is set to become available inside the DiskarTech mobile app. The bank is asking members to secure a MySSS Card powered by RCBC DiskarTech in advance of the rollout.

SSS LoanLite is not new. RCBC and SSS signed a memorandum of agreement for the program in April 2026 and formally launched it on August 11 at an event in Makati City.

Under the facility, eligible SSS members can borrow between ₱1,000 and ₱20,000, repayable over 15, 30, 60, or 90 days, at an interest rate of 8 percent per annum. SSS provides the loan funds; RCBC operates the digital platform through which members apply and receive disbursements.

To prepare for SSS LoanLite, RCBC DiskarTech said members need to meet these conditions:

  • They must be eligible SSS members,
  • Have posted at least 12 monthly SSS contributions, and
  • Have no past-due loans with either RCBC or SSS.

The bank laid out the steps members can take now. First, log in to the MySSS Portal and go to the MySSS Card section to apply for a MySSS Card under RCBC DiskarTech; this generates a Transaction Reference Number (TRN). Next, open the DiskarTech app, tap the Cards tab, and complete the MySSS Card application by entering the TRN. Once SSS LoanLite becomes available in the app, members will see the option directly and can follow the prompts to check their eligibility and apply.

Members do not have to wait for the physical MySSS Card to arrive before starting an SSS LoanLite application, RCBC DiskarTech said, though applications remain subject to eligibility and verification checks.

RCBC President and CEO Reggie Cariaso, speaking at the August 11 launch, tied the expansion to the bank’s broader work with SSS. “For RCBC, this is about building partnerships that can create lasting value at scale,” Cariaso said.

That earlier partnership, the MySSS Card program, has seen cardholder enrollment grow by 830 percent since launch, with more than ₱2.69 billion in SSS benefits disbursed through the platform between January and July 2026. RCBC is the second bank to join SSS LoanLite, after UnionBank, which signed on as the program’s first partner in September 2025. SSS has said Landbank is expected to join later this year.

Neither RCBC DiskarTech nor SSS has set a specific date for when SSS LoanLite will go live inside the DiskarTech app. Both institutions said complete eligibility requirements, mechanics, and the official launch date will be announced separately.
