The SSS payment reference number or PRN is what you will use upon paying for your SSS monthly contributions as a voluntary member or OFW. The SSS PRN is required by most online and offline payment channels like Bayad Center, GCash and banks, as well as SSS offices.
If you’re a voluntary or OFW member of the SSS, you will usually receive your payment reference numbers via text message (usually once a month). But if you haven’t received a text message containing your PRN (or if you lost it), you can get your PRN through the SSS mobile app or the SSS website. You can simply log in through the app or your My.SSS account and you will see a list of your active payment reference numbers.
Each SSS payment reference number is unique and can be used only once. After you’ve paid using your PRN, you can no longer use it for future payments. However, you can request a new PRN by generating it on your SSS mobile app or My.SSS account. Generating a new PRN can be useful if you want to split an existing PRN into smaller amounts. For example, if a PRN has an applicable period of April to June, you can generate a new payment reference number that covers only the month of April.
In this article, we’ll teach you how to get your SSS PRN through various methods like online, text and telephone. We will also teach you how to generate a new PRN online.
