Do you know that you can inquire about your SSS contributions, loans and benefits through text? That’s right, the Social Security System allows you get much-needed information via the Text-SSS facility. No need to connect to the Internet and log in to the SSS website to know the status of your loans or contributions.
Although you can inquire about your membership and check the status of your contributions and loans using the SSS website, there might be times when you can’t access your My.SSS online account. If you don’t have access to the Internet or simply can’t be bothered to sign in to your account, you can text SSS instead and get immediate answers to your inquiries.
For example, you want to know your payment reference number (PRN) but you don’t have the time to check it on the SSS website. What you can do is to text SSS and you will immediately get your PRN. The Text-SSS is not limited to getting your PRN, however. You can use it to know the status of your contributions, inquire about your loan balance, check the status of your SSS benefit claims, or even submit your complaints.
Take note that the Text-SSS service charges ₱2.50 per inquiry for Globe and Smart subscribers and ₱2.00 per inquiry for Sun subscribers.

Step 1: Register for Text-SSS
First, you need to register by texting SSS REG <SS Number> <Birthday MM/DD/YYY> to 2600.
For example: SSS REG 0529310429 07/20/1990.
Upon registration, you will receive a personal identification number (PIN) that you will use for SSS text inquiries.
To reset your PIN and get a new one, send SSS RESET <SS Number> <Birthday MM/DD/YYYY> to 2600.
Step 2: Text the Keyword to 2600
Making an SSS text inquiry is so easy. All you have to do is to text the specific keyword for your desired inquiry to 2600. These are the inquiries that you can perform through the Text-SSS service:
Get Your Payment Reference Number (PRN)
If you want to know what your PRN is, you can inquire about it via text. SSS will then send you the PRN for the applicable months and the amount that you need to pay. You can then use the PRN to pay your contribution at an authorized payment center.

Inquire About Your Loan Balance
Assuming that you have an existing SSS loan, you can make a text inquiry about your remaining loan balance.
To inquire about your loan balance, text SSS LOANBAL <SS Number> <PIN> to 2600.

Check the Status of Your Loan
If you have a pending loan application with the SSS, you can inquire about its status to know if your application was approved or rejected. You can also use it to know the date when your loan application was approved.
To inquire about the status of your loan, text SSS LOANSTAT <SS Number> <PIN> to 2600.

Check the Status of Your Benefit Claim
To inquire about the status of your SSS benefit claims, just text the following keywords:
