LANDBANK and the Social Security System (SSS) launched the SSS LoanLite Program on September 1, 2026, a short-term microloan facility that gives qualified SSS members access to ₱1,000 to ₱20,000 through a largely online application process. The launch took place at the SSS Main Office in Quezon City as part of the agency’s 69th anniversary celebration.
For Filipino workers, the program offers an alternative to informal lenders, who often charge steep interest rates on small, short-term loans. Members can choose repayment terms of 15, 30, 60, or 90 days, giving them the flexibility to match the loan to their immediate need, whether that’s covering an emergency expense or bridging a gap before their next paycheck.
Finance Secretary and LANDBANK Chairman Frederick D. Go and SSS President and CEO Robert Joseph M. De Claro led the launch event. The facility runs on LANDBANK’s digital lending infrastructure, covering everything from application and eligibility checks to approval, disbursement, and repayment online. Approved loan proceeds are credited directly to the borrower’s enrolled LANDBANK account within 24 hours.
Several SSS commissioners attended the launch, including Pedro T. Baoy, Atty. Jonathan Gary T. Jimenez, Ernesto D. Francisco Jr., Roy G. Padiernos, Victor Alfonso A. Limlingan, Diana Pardo-Aguilar, Eva B. Arcos, Voltaire P. Agas, and Joy A. Villacorta. LANDBANK was represented by Senior Vice Presidents Grace Ofelia Lovely V. Dayo and Catherine Rowena B. Villanueva, Vice Presidents Ma. Hazel A. Santos and Joey A. Rodriguez, Department OIC Krimsey Anne G. Floria, and officials from partner financial institutions.
Eligibility and How to Apply
SSS lists the following eligibility conditions for the LoanLite program on its official website:

- Have no past due short-term member loan

The program is open to employed, self-employed, voluntary, and OFW members
To apply, members access the mobile app or online facility of a participating financial institution, select SSS LoanLite or SSS Micro Loan, enter their SS Number, and view their loan eligibility, maximum loanable amount, and available repayment term before choosing a loan amount and term and submitting the application for approval.
Tech Pilipinas has published a step-by-step walkthrough of the application process, including how loanable amounts are computed based on contribution history: SSS LoanLite Application Guide.
The SSS LoanLite Program is not yet available through LANDBANK’s mobile channels but is expected to expand there soon. LANDBANK and SSS said that the program will become accessible through the LANDBANK Mobile Banking App (MBA) and the LANDBANK Consumer Loans Access Portal on the LANDBANK website, which would let qualified members apply for the loan without visiting a branch.
