BDO Unibank is the largest commercial bank in the Philippines, while GCash is the most widely used mobile wallet application in the country. Not a few users are asking how to transfer money from BDO to GCash, so we’ve come up with this short guide.
GCash has several cash-in options such as online banking, credit cards and remittance centers. If you have a BDO online banking account, you can use it to transfer money to your GCash wallet via InstaPay. It’s quicker and easier than over-the-counter cash-in options like Bayad Center and Palawan Pawnshop.
Previously, BDO customers had to use their MasterCard or Visa cards to transfer money from their BDO account to their GCash wallet, since BDO was not available in the list of online banking cash-in options. Later on, GCash included BDO among its cash-in options for online banking.
If you don’t have a GCash account yet, you can read this article to learn how to sign up for a free account and use your mobile wallet.

In some cases, it will take some time for the money to be reflected in your GCash account. If after 24 hours, you still haven’t received the money, call the GCash hotline 2882. Be sure to check your BDO online banking account to confirm that the fund transfer pushed through.
That’s it! You’ve just learned how to transfer money from BDO to GCash easily and conveniently. Don’t forget to share this article with your friends who might be interested to know how to top up their GCash wallets using BDO.

There’s no G Exchange on the list of other banks 🙁
Did you use the app or the website? I checked it now and I saw G-Xchange in the list of other banks.
Same here. I can’t see G-xchange now in the list. I am using the BDO mobile app.

Try using BDO online banking on your browser.
There still no G-Xchange
I have been using this step since january this year but yesterday I tried and there’s no G exchange listed on other banks in both mobile app and website.
You can try it again. Another commenter said that the G-Xchange is only available on weekdays. I will try to confirm if what she said is true.
In both app and web, there is no G-Xchange
Because of the new update I guess BDO transfer to any bank is not working?
Having the same issue, i just use it yesterday and currently it’s not there.
Hello Guys!
We all have the same problem, but what I noticed was whenever I tried to do the transfer on weekends, the GCash from BDO it’s either BDO web or apps the GCash wasn’t there. And when i do it on weekdays (Philippine time) I can see it. So, probably it’s only weekdays. Try it.
Cheers,
Vanessa
