BDO Unibank is the largest commercial bank in the Philippines, while GCash is the most widely used mobile wallet application in the country. Not a few users are asking how to transfer money from BDO to GCash, so we’ve come up with this short guide.

GCash has several cash-in options such as online banking, credit cards and remittance centers. If you have a BDO online banking account, you can use it to transfer money to your GCash wallet via InstaPay. It’s quicker and easier than over-the-counter cash-in options like Bayad Center and Palawan Pawnshop.

Previously, BDO customers had to use their MasterCard or Visa cards to transfer money from their BDO account to their GCash wallet, since BDO was not available in the list of online banking cash-in options. Later on, GCash included BDO among its cash-in options for online banking.

If you don’t have a GCash account yet, you can read this article to learn how to sign up for a free account and use your mobile wallet.

Transfer Money From BDO to GCash Using the Mobile App

Transferring money from BDO to GCash is pretty straightforward.

Log in to your BDO online banking account through the BDO Personal Banking app.

Tap the “SEND MONEY” tab and then choose “To Another Local Bank.”

Select “Proceed without a template” and press “CONTINUE.”

Final Considerations

What if you entered the wrong payment details? In that instance, BDO will credit back the total amount, including service charge, to your account within 1-2 banking days.

In some cases, it will take some time for the money to be reflected in your GCash account. If after 24 hours, you still haven’t received the money, call the GCash hotline 2882. Be sure to check your BDO online banking account to confirm that the fund transfer pushed through.

That’s it! You’ve just learned how to transfer money from BDO to GCash easily and conveniently. Don’t forget to share this article with your friends who might be interested to know how to top up their GCash wallets using BDO.

You can try it again. Another commenter said that the G-Xchange is only available on weekdays. I will try to confirm if what she said is true.

    Hello Guys!

We all have the same problem, but what I noticed was whenever I tried to do the transfer on weekends, the GCash from BDO it’s either BDO web or apps the GCash wasn’t there. And when i do it on weekdays (Philippine time) I can see it. So, probably it’s only weekdays. Try it.

    Cheers,
    Vanessa
