Receiving money in GCash is pretty easy because all you have to do is to give your GCash number to the sender. But what if you forgot or lost your GCash number? How and where can you find your GCash account number so that you can accept payments and fund transfers from other GCash users?
Your GCash account number is a unique 11-digit number representing your GCash account or e-wallet. The GCash number is the same as the mobile number that you used to register to GCash. So if you are wondering what your GCash number is, it’s most likely the mobile number that you are using right now.
However, some GCash users might have used a different mobile number to register to GCash and conveniently forgot what their number is. Fortunately, GCash doesn’t explicitly forbid multiple accounts, so you could just open a new account using your current mobile number and call it a day.
But if you really want to know your GCash number that is different from your existing mobile number, there are several ways to find or recover it. You should try to recover your account number if you believe that you still have remaining balance in your GCash wallet or if the account is really important to you (e.g. high GScore, unpaid GCredit balance, etc.).

How to Find or Retrieve Your GCash Account Number
We’ve laid out three possible ways to recover your GCash number in case you’ve lost or forgotten it.
Check Your GCash Number on the Mobile App
The best place to find your GCash number is the GCash mobile app. This might be common knowledge but some GCash users don’t know that their account number can be found on the app itself.
To find your account number, open the GCash app on your smartphone and login using your MPIN, and then tap the “PROFILE” on the bottom menu. You will immediately see your GCash number just below your name.
Send an Email to GCash
If you don’t have the GCash app or if you can’t login to your GCash account, you may send an email to GCash customer support to request for your account number. You can also submit a support ticket on the GCash Help Center.
You can use this template to email GCash and request for your number (be sure to edit it with your own information):
Hello GCash,
I would like to request for my GCash number because I don’t have access to my account. Here is my personal information for your verification:
Name: Juan dela Cruz
Address: Maria Clara Street, Tondo, Manila
Date of Birth: January 1, 1999
Email: [email protected]
I have included my valid ID for identification purposes. Thank you!
Truly yours,
Juan dela Cruz
Attach a photo or scanned copy of your valid ID (e.g. UMID, passport, voter’s ID) and send the email to [email protected].
Wait for a response within 1-2 working days. GCash may request for additional information to confirm that you are the real owner of the account.
Call the GCash Hotline Number
Another way to request for your GCash account number is to call the GCash customer service hotline at 2882 (for Globe subscribers only). Non-Globe subscribers may call (02) 7730-2882 (airtime and long-distance charges may apply).
The GCash customer service hotline is available everyday from Monday to Sunday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
GCash Account Number Sample
The typical 11-digit GCash account number goes by this format: 09XXXXXXXXX. For example: 09123456789. It’s just the same as any Philippine mobile number.
Do not include the international area code +63 in the GCash number. It should only be 11 digits and should start with “0”.
Can You Change Your GCash Number?
Is it possible to change your GCash number to that of your existing mobile number? Yes, you can request GCash to change your account number by emailing [email protected] or submitting a support ticket. You will be asked to provide a few personal information such as your old and new mobile numbers, date of birth and your last known GCash balance.
Conclusion
Losing your GCash account number is not the end of the world as there are several ways to recover it. Most people will just create a new GCash account if they’ve forgotten their account number or lost their SIM, but if your e-wallet still has money left, it’s worth the time and effort to try to recover your GCash number.
By knowing your GCash account number, you will be able to log back in to your account or perhaps request a change of number if you no longer have access to your old mobile number.
If you have any questions and concerns about GCash, call the toll-free hotline 2882 or email [email protected].
