With many people staying at home, online banking and mobile wallets like GCash have become more in vogue. Perhaps you’re a GCash user who has a Metrobank account. You don’t have to go to a Metrobank branch to top up your GCash wallet, because you can transfer money from Metrobank to GCash using your mobile phone or computer.

Not only you can use your Metrobank account to top up your GCash wallet, you can also send money to another person’s GCash account. For example, you want to pay for an item using GCash but you don’t have a GCash account. You can use your Metrobank account instead to send money to your recipient’s GCash wallet – you don’t need your own GCash account that way.

To be able to transfer money from Metrobank to GCash, you must have a bank account with Metrobank and that you have signed up for Metrobank online banking. With a Metrobank online banking account, you can check your balance, transfer money and pay bills using your computer or mobile phone.

So without further ado, let’s talk about how to transfer money from Metrobank to GCash easily and conveniently with your mobile phone or PC.

Metrobank to GCash Transfer via the Metrobank Mobile App

For this tutorial, we will be using the Metrobank mobile app.

Open the Metrobank app on your mobile phone and login using your username and password. Once logged in, tap the hamburger menu on the upper-left corner.

Select “Transfer to Other Bank.”

Under “One-Time Transfer,” tap the “Transfer” button.
