Smart Padala is a money remittance service where anyone can send and receive money through more than 30,000 agents nationwide as well as international remittance partners. You can go to the nearest Smart Padala agent but you can also use your PayMaya wallet to remit cash to anyone, anywhere, in the Philippines. In this article, we’ll teach you how to send money from PayMaya to Smart Padala.

If you didn’t know already, PayMaya is a digital wallet which allows you to perform cashless transactions like sending money online, paying bills, buying load and many more – using just your mobile phone. It’s an easy and hassle-free way to pay and spend money without carrying cash. Read this article to learn more about PayMaya.

Sending money from PayMaya to Smart Padala is fast, easy and convenient since you don’t have to go to a remittance center to send money to your folks back home. All you need is a PayMaya account and the account number of the Smart Padala agent where your recipient will claim the money.

Make sure that your PayMaya account is already verified. You cannot send money and top up your wallet unless you verify your account first. Go here to know how to upgrade and verify your PayMaya account. Also make sure that you have enough money in your PayMaya wallet. Last time I checked, the minimum sending amount to Smart Padala is ₱1,000.

How to Send Money

Here’s how to send money from PayMaya to Smart Padala:

Open the PayMaya app on your smartphone and log in using your password. Once logged in, tap “Send Money.”

Enter the 16-digit account number of the Smart Padala agent where your recipient will claim the money. Type only the numbers, without any dashes. The account type will be automatically changed to “Smart Money.”

You will receive a text confirmation containing the reference number. Give this reference number to your recipient. You can also send a screenshot of the confirmation message to the recipient as some Smart Padala agents will ask for it.

How to Claim the Money

Your recipient can claim the money at the Smart Padala agent by providing the reference number and a valid ID. He will have to fill up a transaction slip and write down the reference number, and give the form to the cashier. Here’s the step-by-step process for claiming the money:

  1. Go to the Smart Padala agent.
  2. Tell the cashier that you want to claim a Smart Money or Smart Padala cashout.
  3. Fill up the claim money form and write down the following:
    • Reference number
    • Sender name
    • Sender mobile number
    • Receiver name
    • Receiver mobile number
    • Amount
  4. Sign the form and give it to the cashier along with your valid ID.
  5. If the cashier asks for proof of payment, show the screenshot of the text confirmation message.
  6. Claim your money, ID and receipt.
  7. Count your money before leaving.

You can also send money from PayMaya to Smart Padala and then the money can be claimed at any Palawan Pawnshop branch. All you have to do is to enter the Smart Padala account number for Palawan Pawnshop, as follows:

  • Luzon: 5577-5194-0831-6108
  • Visayas: 5577-5194-0831-3105
  • Mindanao: 5577-5194-0831-0101

Remember that your recipient can only claim the payout at the specific Smart Padala agent where you sent the money. So if you entered the Smart Padala account number of Palawan Pawnshop, then your recipient can only claim the money at a Palawan Pawnshop branch.

That’s it. You just learned how easy it is to send money from PayMaya to Smart Padala. No need to wait in line at the money remittance center when you can easily and conveniently send cash using your mobile phone.
