Many Filipinos have started using electronic wallets (e-wallets) such as GCash and PayMaya to send money, pay bills and go shopping online. It’s probably a good idea to have two or more of these mobile wallets in your phone just in case one feature is not available in the other. You can easily send money from PayMaya to GCash effortlessly and it only takes less than a minute.

You can use your PayMaya wallet to send money to a GCash user, and the latter will usually receive the cash instantly. Thanks to InstaPay, PayMaya to GCash transfers are facilitated and completed in real time. There might be instances where these fund transfers take several hours or even days to complete, but these are few and far between.

I have all the three major e-wallet apps on my phone: GCash, PayMaya and Coins.ph. It’s nice to know that I can easily and instantly transfer my money between these mobile wallets. If I want to buy something from Lazada, I can just transfer money from PayMaya to GCash and then use my GCash wallet to pay for the item. It’s so easy, fast and convenient. At the moment, PayMaya to GCash transfers (and vice versa) are free.

So if you want to know how to send money from PayMaya to GCash, you can follow our step-by-step guide on how to perform the transfer using your mobile phone.

How to Transfer Money From PayMaya to GCash

Open the PayMaya app and login using your password. Tap “Bank Transfer” on the home screen.

From the list of bank transfer options, scroll down and choose “GCash.”

Congratulations, you’ve just transferred money from your PayMaya wallet to a GCash account. You will receive a text message confirming the transaction. Take note of the reference ID in case of dispute or complaints. You can also take a screenshot of the transaction details for future reference.

Since PayMaya to GCash fund transfers are facilitated via InstaPay, your recipient will usually receive the money within seconds. On the rare occasion where your receiver failed to receive the money after an hour, call the PayMaya toll-free hotline 1-800-10-845-7788 for assistance.
