Have you ever run out of prepaid load only to discover that your neighborhood sari-sari store is already closed? It’s a good thing that you can now buy load online. There are several websites where you can buy Smart or Globe load online without ever leaving your house.
Take note that you will need a credit or debit card to buy prepaid load online. However, there are some websites that accept alternative payments such as PayPal.

Smart Online Store
The best way (for me, at least) to buy Smart load is to purchase it from the Smart online store. Just log in to your My Smart account and go to the eLoad page. There you can choose different load denominations ranging from P50.00 to P1,000.00.
Online load purchases through the Smart store will be charged to the user’s locally issued Bancnet ATM or debit card (Visa or MasterCard). PayPal or offline payments are not yet possible. There are no additional fees or charges.
You don’t need to enroll your number to your Smart account to be able to load it. Simply input the number that you want to load, even if it’s your girlfriend’s.

Coins.ph
Aside from bitcoins and bills payments, Coins.ph also offers cellphone loading services. You can buy Globe, TM, Sun, Smart and Talk n’ Text load ranging from P10.00 to P1,000.00.
To buy load from Coins.ph, you need to have the sufficient amount in your wallet to cover the cost. You can make a “cash in” to your Coins.ph account through online and offline payment channels such as online bank transfers, over-the-counter banking, remittance centers (such as M. Lhuillier and Palawan Pawnshop), 7-Eleven, and GCash.

Lazada
Do you know that you can buy cellphone load from Lazada? Just enter your phone number on this page and choose your payment option. You can pay using your Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card, or using your Lazada Wallet.
You can buy Smart load ranging from P15.00 to P1,000.00 and Globe load from P10.00 to P1,000.00. Data packages are also available.
At the moment, prepaid load bought from Lazada has a 5% rebate. So if you buy P100 load, you will be charged P95.

GCash
GCash is another easy and convenient way to buy load online. Just top up your GCash wallet using any of its cash-in options such as 7-Eleven, remittance centers, online banking and PayPal, and then enter the mobile number or select from your contact list.
If you’re not a Globe subscriber, have no fear because GCash is now open to all mobile numbers in the Philippines. In fact, I registered my GCash account using my Smart Buddy number.

PayMaya
PayMaya is known for its online payment solutions and virtual credit cards but you can also buy load online through its app. Just go to the Shop (shown on the left pane) and choose the amount you want to load. PayMaya currently offers Smart, Sun Cellular and Globe regular loads as well as call/text and data subscriptions.
PayMaya works just like Coins.ph and GCash wherein you have to add funds to your wallet and your purchases will be deducted from that wallet.
Payment Options: Online banking, remittance centers (such as Western Union and Palawan Pawnshop), department stores, payment facilities (such as ECPay)
Other Websites
There are several other websites that offer prepaid load for sale, but I notice that their prices are prohibitively expensive, sometimes as much as 300% of the actual price. I will not list them as these websites are mainly geared for those outside the Philippines.
So the next time you ran out of load, remember that you can just use your computer or mobile phone to buy load. No need to look for a loading station or borrow from your friends when you can buy load online.
