PhilHealth is definitely an important part of ordinary Filipinos’ lives. In this short tutorial, I will teach you the basics of PhilHealth online registration so that you will become a qualified and full-fledged PhilHealth member.
What is PhilHealth?
The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation or PhilHealth is a governmental health care program that provides social health insurance coverage to Filipinos.
PhilHealth provides medical and health assistance to qualified beneficiaries and their dependents. PhilHealth entitles its beneficiaries and dependents to inpatient and outpatient services in PhilHealth-accredited hospitals and facilities.
This means that in case you have a medical emergency, PhilHealth will shoulder some of the costs associated with your treatment.
In the past, you have to go to a PhilHealth agency or office to apply personally. But thanks to the wonders of the Internet, you can now apply for a PhilHealth membership in the comfort of home.
How to Get Your PhilHealth Number Online
The PhilHealth online registration system is an easy and convenient way to register as a PhilHealth member. Using only a computer or mobile device, you can submit your PhilHealth online application at home or anywhere you have Internet access. No need to go to a PhilHealth office and submit a PhilHealth Member Registration Form (PMRF) in person.
Through the PhilHealth online registration system, you can fill out your personal information and those of your dependents, and attach your supporting documents. Everything will be done online.
The following are eligible to register for PhilHealth:
