No August UPLIFT payout confirmed yet: Here’s what you can do

Neither the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) nor the Social Security System (SSS) has confirmed that a second UPLIFT payout has been released for August. As of the most recent public statements, only the July tranche has been reported as paid, and no payout calendar for the remaining months has been published by either agency.

The UPLIFT program pays ₱2,000 a month from July through December to two groups: 2.5 million poor and near-poor households identified through the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System, and 1.5 million low-income SSS members earning below a set salary threshold.

Among SSS members, 132,496 had their July payout bounce back because of invalid or unenrolled disbursement accounts. SSS gave them until August 11 to fix their details through its Disbursement Account Enrollment Module (DAEM), then said it would review the corrections on August 12 and forward approved accounts to LandBank for re-crediting. Neither agency has released the results of that review.

Among CBMS households, the first payout was paid out manually on purpose, so beneficiaries could register a GCash or bank account for the five payments still to come. That registration is still underway; Maya reported helping beneficiaries set up accounts in Navotas City and Quezon City as recently as August 27.

What beneficiaries can do

For most people in this situation, waiting is a reasonable option. DSWD has said that no one will lose the assistance over a delay that isn’t their fault. The ₱2,000 allocated for July or August still gets paid even if it’s credited a month later, once the account issue behind it is cleared. If nothing has arrived and waiting seems too long, here’s what you can do before assuming that the payout was missed entirely:

  • SSS members: check your My.SSS account. Sign in at the official portal to view your disbursement status.
  • SSS members: call the SSS hotline at 1455, or email [email protected], if you believe you qualify but nothing has come through.
  • CBMS (Group 2) households: check the UPLIFT G2P website. This portal is for Group 2 beneficiaries only. A “No Record Found” message usually means your first manual payout hasn’t been processed yet.
  • CBMS households: raise eligibility disputes with your LGU. PSA and LGU staff have been posted at payout sites to check household records.
  • If none of the above applies to your situation, just wait for the payout to arrive. No agency has published a payout calendar for August through December, so a delay by itself does not mean that you were excluded.

Neither agency has said when a complete August-to-December payout schedule will be released.
